I really agree with you. I've read all the books about a year ago. I mean, yeah, it would be stupid of me to say that Twilight is the best series ever because it's not. I rather much read Harry Potter or another book series on my shelf, but Twilight's an okay series if you just want to distract yourself and read something not-serious. If people want to really call a book the worst thing to get printed since the dawn of time then they should take a look at some of the literature they make high schoolers and college students read. I mean, really. At least Stephanie Meyer spent a whole page describing Edward or Bella, the main characters, and didn't spent a whole page describing a cobblestone street with very obscure words or a battle that had no importance to the whatsoever (I'm looking at you, Charles Dickens and Victor Hugo!)

The movies are pretty bad in terms of storytelling. The bad thing is, a lot of people ignore the books and base their bashing on the movies. Even the best books have movies that fall flat in comparison. (And now I'm looking at HP: Order of the Phoenix.)

So overall, this deviation speaks the truth. :3

There are a lot of plot holes in the books :P and the movies are, indeed, worse.

On the 'pregnant' thing, if Stephenie's vampires don't have blood flow, how did they have sex in the first place x3 ? Never mind what liquids they have otherwise.

I don't hate Twilight xD I liked it when I read it, but I've gotten older and moved on. And I make my own vampires to hopefully avoid fallacies~

Yep. Admittedly, it can be difficult keeping track, but I would expect to find that kind of mistake in something online. I'm surprised any editors didn't catch those kinds of things.

I've read the first few House of Night books, but I've kind of stalled out on... four? I dunno. There are a lot of them ^^; I'm still missing a few. I definitely read a couple.

The Vampire Chronicles is my favorite collection, especially the "Vampire Lestat" book (all by Anne Rice)

Heh, yeah. I looked it up and there are 13 books including 2 or three "extra" books (like a handbook or some other such non-plot stuff). I'll read them all some day xD

Well, Anne Rice is a pretty well known vampire writer, or at least I think so. But I like her stuff because she has both 'pretty' vampires, but ones that can still fight and kill and stuff ^.^
Then of course I enjoy the quality of her writing, descriptions, and characters.

I... haven't read anything like that o.o so I can't help you. I've actually read surprisingly few vampire novels, probably because I'm so picky about what the species should be like. I have seen a manga/graphic novel with a goth girl and a vampire, but I haven't read past the first few pages of the first volume.
